Our Story
Kyle Adkins Sr. started Adkins & Sons in 1979, from his home in Southgate, MI. By doing all of his own work, he kept overhead and costs low, quality extremely top notch, and always had happy and very satisfied customers.
After many successful jobs Kyle Sr. purchased his first building in 1980. Adkins kept a highlight and integral backbone for the community in which he lived and worked. In 1982 Kyle bought his second building on Eureka Rd. in Southgate. By performing a total renovation of this old farmhouse, a home type atmosphere was created for customers to view Adkins remodeling skills. Moving again in 1995 to Adkins & Sons third and current home at 13789 Dix-Toledo Rd. in Downtown Southgate. Again major remodeling was performed to create an optimal window, door, and siding showroom. This beautiful showroom is always being updated with the most current products for our customers to view. It also serves as the Adkins and Sons home base and warehouse.
In 2005 Kyle Sr. purchased a second location at 33555 Seven Mile Rd. in Livonia, MI. Once again extensive remodeling was performed. Adkins first satellite showroom was created and modeled after the Southgate showroom. We are currently planning expansion for at least two more satellite showrooms.
Being incredibly picky, and using the highest installation methods and standards, has established Adkins & Sons into one of Michigan’s top premier window dealers.
Adkins & Sons is a family owned and operated business. We have some of the most experienced staff in the industry. We serve all of southeastern Michigan and have done work as far as Kalamazoo, Cheboygan, and Toledo, Ohio. We have references in most of these cities
